Dear Colleagues,

I would like to announce a Computational neuroscience seminar
<http://csng.mff.cuni.cz/compneuroseminar.html> that will be taking place
every Tuesday at 8:30am
at the MFF, UK building at Malá Strana (Malostranské nám. 2/25, 118 00
Praha 1, room 510).

The goal of the seminar is to discuss an important or state-of-the-art
paper in the field of computational neuroscience every week.
The paper will be presented by the assigned person, together with relevant
context, but the emphasis is on having a broad discussion
during and following the presentation. Occasionally, we also hope to have
invited talks from experts in the field, or discussion sessions
if a suitable topic is identified.

The exact program of the seminar is being formed on the go, but the topics
will appear on the seminar's website
<http://csng.mff.cuni.cz/compneuroseminar.html> as their dates are fixed.
You will find the schedule for the next few weeks already on the website.

Currently, most of the participants come from the field of visual
neuroscience, thus the topics are likely to be biased towards
sensory neuroscience, particularly vision. That said, we would love to
broaden our reach and wellcome other members of the
Prague's (or CR for that matter) computational neuroscience community to
take part in our seminar, and present their favorite
research articles or their own work.

Simply join us on Tuesday morning whenever the given topic catches
your interest, or pop me an email if you have any questions:
antolikjan at gmail.com

Have a wonderful day,
Jan Antolik

P.S.: Please feel free to pass this email to others that might be
interested but are not on this mailing list :-).
