Formula Student Sponsoring by Daimler – 
Get one of our sponsoring packages for 2014

The know-how, team work and passion for motor sport you have demonstrated 
over the last few years have amazed us! Your passion for cars has inspired 
us to develop a new sponsoring concept in which all Formula Student teams 
can participate.
What is new this season?
With the new sponsoring concept we will support you even more intensively 
in the development process of your vehicle. We set a high value on 
fairness and work internationally as a global player. For this reason, it 
is important for us that all teams can get the same chance to be sponsored 
by Daimler. Since collaboration across countries is a daily occurrence in 
our work, we aim to have at least one international team among the winning 
teams of the sponsoring competition and will give this the corresponding 
consideration in the selection process.

What services can you get from us?
We will sponsor six teams – including three electro teams and three 
combustion teams. For this, we are offering three sponsoring packages in 
each category, for which you can apply today:
1.      S-Class Package with a total value of € 10,000
2.      C-Class Package with a total value of € 5,000
3.      A-Class Package with a total value of € 2,500

In coordination with us, you can choose between monetary payments, noncash 
benefits and/or transport support. All of our sponsored teams will be 
given an access to a test track in July 2013 as well as many other 
benefits in addition, such as career workshops and trainings, plant visits 
at a Daimler location, access to Daimler events and so on. Furthermore a 
mentor from our house will accompany each team during the year!
Should you finish among the top 3 in Hockenheim, you can also expect an 
added surprise. 

Our prerequisites for awarding a Formula Student Sponsoring Package:
As a sponsor, we will enter into a partnership with you. Accordingly, 
affixing our logo onto your vehicle and team presentation (e.g. internet 
homepage, team uniform, etc.) as a premium sponsor is obligatory. We are 
open to be placed next to other sponsors in the automotive industry.

steps.

How will the application process run?
On Friday, November 22, 2013, we will launch the application process with 
the teams, which have expressed interest in being sponsored by Daimler.
The sponsoring selection process consists of two stages: 
The start-off and the application form for the first selection step will 
be communicated to you by mail on November 22, 2013. We look forward to 
receiving your results by December 2, 2013 – and can only tell you this 
much in advance: Your response time will also be taken into consideration 
for the evaluation, since speed is also a decisive factor for Formula 
Student.
Of all submitted applications, ten teams will be admitted to the second 
round. Whether you take part will be decided by a committee of Daimler 
engineers from different disciplines. You will receive our feedback by 
December 9, 2013 – hopefully accompanied by an invitation for the second 
and last selection step on December 11, 2013. So, make a note of it in 
your calendar. 
On December 11, 2013, you will be given three hours of team time – 
wherever you might be - in order to work on another task; after that we 
will also take three hours to decide which 6 of the ten teams are winners 
and which sponsoring package they will receive.

Until November 21, 2013 - Register your interest in a sponsoring package
November 22, 2013               - We send you the application form for 
selection step 1
Until December 2, 2013            - Submit your application
December 9, 2013                    - Feedback from us and possible 
invitation to selection step 2
December 11, 2013                  - Selection step 2 and feedback from us 
– possibly with a sponsoring offer
