Ahojte,
z Estonska od Geili přišla nabídka na účast v závodě Baltic Open. Ráda by
slyšela, jestli máme zájem a jaký termín by se nám hodil. Osobně si myslím,
že vhodný termín je až ten záříjový, protože dva předchozí jsou mezi nebo v
kolizi se závody.

I am writing on behalf of FS Team Tallinn (EST) with an invitation to a
Formula Student competition Baltic Open 2016.
Baltic Open is an unofficial competition for Formula Student cars and teams.
It features mostly the same dynamic routine as official competitions but
without static events in order to include more team-to-team interaction,
dynamic events and different special events. Unique to Baltic Open is that
Formula Student cars from all years and all classes are allowed to compete
and so alumni participation is desirable.
The first Baltic Open competition took place in september of 2003 in
Hyvinkää, Finland. In the beginning only Swedish and Finnish teams
participated in Baltic Open but during the years the event has become more
and more popular, and nowadays 20 to 30 cars from all over Europe are
participating each year.
In 2008 the event left Scandinavia for the first time to be organized in
Delft as DUTch Open. BO 2014 took place in Estonia and here are two videos
to show the general atmosphere:

FS Team Tallinn is celebrating its 10th season this year and as a part of
the celebrations we have decided to hold Baltic Open 2016 in Estonia. Baltic
Open is an excellent opportunity to enjoy racing and to see the alumni cars
competing against new ones. We would like to see your team also competing
in BO 2016 and that's why we are inviting you to take part.
What are your thoughts? Would you like to participate?
At the moment we haven't announced the dates of BO 2016 and that's the
second reason why I'm writing. We have chosen three options: 28.-31. July,
4.-7 August and 1-4. September. The weather would probably be better in
July and August, but it may collide with other competitions. This is why we
would like to hear your opinion: which dates would be more suitable for
you?
In order to announce the dates as soon as possible, I kindly ask you to
reply to this letter ASAP (no later than one week from today - 2nd March). I
would also like if you'd confirm receiving this letter even if you can't
participate in the event. In addition I ask you to forward this invitation
to all your alumni teams.
Hopefully we'll meet in Estonia!
All the best
Geili
