Teams,
     Hello from the team at Formula North. The FN Academy is an 
initiative that we started in 2014 with the intent of providing a 
development platform for our registrants to interact with other FN teams 
and judges during the off season. At last year's 1 day event, the 
attending teams delivered presentations about their designs and 
management practices sharing ideas and lessons learnt. What we are 
proposing this year is an event which focuses more on preparing your 
teams for the static events at competition. We propose to have a group 
of FN judges available for teams to conduct a dry run of the Design, 
Business, and Cost presentations. Our judges will provide feedback with 
the intent of helping you prepare and refine your presentations for the 
upcoming competitions. For the newer teams or newer team members, this 
may be a good opportunity to practice delivering the material and get 
the nerves out before MIS. We are proposing to have the event in the 
spring, perhaps in March or April. Close enough to FSAE Michigan that 
you have had time to prepare your presentations but with enough time to 
not interfere with your competition preparations. I would like to gauge 
how many of you are interested in attending the Academy event this year 
and whether you think the proposed activities would benefit you. This is 
completely voluntary for teams and I know a number of you won't be able 
to attend simply because of logistics. Last year's event was held in 
Toronto by the Ryerson team. We are open to moving the event to another 
University that is willing to host it. Depending on the location of the 
teams interested we can discuss a location that works. Please RSVP with
